In total, 13 brands created by local beginning producers participated in the event
São Paulo, March 2020 – Tinned wine, organic jambu cachaça, natural isotonic, fruit rolls and other novelties that the consumer may never have seen. These are some of the attractions that caught the attention of the public that passed by Espaço Descobertas, an island with small companies from all over Brazil, during ANUFOOD Brazil.
“We had a lot of movement in the first two days of the fair, and we noticed a lot of interest from retailers in the Business Rounds, because our participants were also in the meetings. We are already talking to the organization staff to grow next year and do something even bigger”, says Leila Okumura, founder of Local.e, a company that made possible the exclusive area at the fair.
She explains that Local.e is a platform for discoveries, bringing 13 brands created by local beginner producers. “We made it possible to participate in a collective way, and the fair is being positive, with a lot of visibility and constant and curious visits”.
Among the highlights are companies such as Orbeat Foods, which created natural functional balls; Babuxca, which showed drinks with 100% natural ingredients, Kiro, which created the first Brazilian switchel (natural isotonic of Amish origin), and OffGluten, which sells gluten-free frozen foods or allergenic ingredients such as milk and soy derivatives.
