Anuga takes place in October, in Germany, and the event will gather over 165,000 visitors and more than 7,400 exhibitors, including 100 Brazilian companies.
Koelnmesse, organiser of Anuga, invited Minister Teresa Cristina to participate in the opening ceremony of the event. She will join the international board meetings, which will discuss the Brazilian food and beverage market. Anuga, which takes place from 5th to 9th October in Cologne, Germany, reaches its first centennial by gathering more than a hundred Brazilian companies, as well as sectoral entities such as Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (Abiec), Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) and Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). It is worth mentioning the presence of Roberto Jaguaribe, Brazilian ambassador in Berlim, Sergio Segovia, president of Apex-Brasil, João Dornellas, president of Association of Food Industries (ABIA), Alexandre Jobim, president of Brazilian Association of Soft Drinks and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (ABIR), Luis Madi, director of institutional affairs at Institute of Food Technology (Ital) and Wilson Mello, president of Investe São Paulo.
Koelnmesse is also responsible for organising ANUFOOD Brazil, a Brazilian version of Anuga, which will take place in March 2020, in São Paulo. The ANUFOOD Brazil team has visited Anuga and invited numerous various authorities in order to enhance the development of the food and beverage industry in Brazil. This is a key market to Koelnmesse as it contributes to the development of that industry by organising events related to that area. Koelnmesse is a global leading company in food and food technology. Over the five days, Anuga expects to gather more than 165,000 visitors, of which one thousand are Brazilian representatives. Among the exhibiting companies are Bauducco, Garoto, JBS, M Dias Branco, Seara and Três Corações. In addition to the entities mentioned above, the Brazilian Association of Biscuit, Pasta and Industrialized Bread & Cakes Industries (Abimapi), Brazilian Association of Coffee Roasting and Grinding Industry (Abic) and National Confederation of Industry (CNI) will also participate in the event.
