For that reason, GV Agro (Agribusiness Study Centre at Getulio Vargas Foundation) is planning the new lecture programme for the second edition of the event, which takes place from 9 to 11 March in S\u00e3o Paulo. GV Agro (Agribusiness Study Centre at Getulio Vargas Foundation) is planning the contents for the event in partnership with ABIA (Association of Food Industries), ABIR (Brazilian Association of Non-alcoholic Soft Drink and Beverage Industries) and ITAL (Institute of Food Technology).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to Roberto Rodrigues, coordinator of GV Agro and curator of the Conference, the objective for the nest year is to encourage discussions on worldwide food trends. \u201cWe want to assess world trends on food consumption, including what are the causes and consequences on its production\u201d, Rodrigues says. \u201cIt is crucial to consider the scenarios, including the issues related to both producers and consumers so that it is possible to guide the whole production chain\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ANUFOOD Brazil 1<sup>st<\/sup> edition gathered seven thousand visitors from 39 countries and it is expected a greater number of visitors for the 2020 edition. The former agriculture minister, Roberto Rodrigues, this is a very important forum as it aims at discussing on paths regarding global supply and food safety. \u201cDuring the first edition we discussed about the world population growth and Brazil\u2019s responsibility in the food production\u201d, he emphasizes. \u201cOur objective was to show that we must design specific strategies in sectors such as logistics, infrastructure and rural income in order to meet FAO expectations. I believe we have achieved our goal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Based on those results, Rodrigues considers it is important to \u2018learn more about the consumers demands depending on advertisements and persuasion, which means knowing exactly what are the consolidated demands so the rural production and food manufacturers can focus on its results providing Brazil an articulated production strategy according to the consumers demands\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Conference programme, the second edition of ANUFOOD presents parallel events featuring International Business Rounds, ANUFOOD Brazil PRIME Club, Arena, Convoys and Confectionery &amp; Bakery Show. Koelnmesse estimates an expansion of the exhibit area of 60% as well as a higher number of decision makers from all over Brazil visiting the event, international buyers from over 40 countries and various sales channels including supermarkets, distributors, wholesalers, restaurants, hotels, collective meals companies, among other channels. \u201cJust as the first edition, ANUFOOD 2020 has set strategic partnerships with the main associations and unions of the food and beverage industry. Furthermore, we have a marketing planning that includes adverts in every Brazilian magazine related to the trade sector as well as a few international media outlets. We focus on expand the event while maintaining the high quality from the first edition.
