Lectures will bring the experience from those who have been in the sector for a long time and will discuss solutions regarding the issues faced by entrepreneurs, such as outsourcing and labour claims
Some goals of the I Abrasel / Esbre Forum – Management and Strategy for Foodservice include discussions on outsourcing in bars and restaurants, as well as to present trends for the segment in the coming years. The event will take place alongside with ANUFOOD Brazil – Exclusive International Food and Beverage Trade Fair, from 12th to 14th March 2019, in São Paulo. The purpose of this event is to exchange experiences, discuss the future of the sector and find solutions to common problems.
“It will be an opportunity for those who have experience in the market to share their knowledge and expertise with other professionals, as well as to support the development of the bar and restaurant sector,” says Percival Maricato, president of Abrasel-SP. (Brazilian Association of Restaurants and Bars in São Paulo)
For Cassiano Facchinetti, managing director of Koelnmesse do Brasil, which holds the trade fair together with FGV Projetos (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), the prospects for the event are very promising considering that Brazil holds the 5th position (just behind China, USA, Japan and India) in the the Foodservice industry world ranking, according to Euromonitor International, global provider of strategic market intelligence and partner of the initiative. “The partnership with Abrasel-SP to hold the first forum of the entity strengthens ANUFOOD position as an event that brings the industry together and debates the future of the segment by participating in the search for solutions that will ensure its development”, says Facchinetti.
Abrasel/Esbre Forum will take place on 12th and 13th March with 5 lectures. In addition to the president of the entity, Marco Amatti, director general of MAPA business consultancy in food outside the home, Fábio de Francisco, founding partner of Guia Bares SP and Rodrigo Vasconcelos, partner and co-founder of CMV Solutions will also participate in the meeting. Among the topics that will be addressed are: How to avoid labour suits or cease existing ones, Outsourcing in bars and restaurants, Trends in the Foodservice – Bars and Restaurants, Marketing for Bars and Restaurants and Purchasing and Inventory Management.
“The bar and restaurant sector has a very aggressive competitiveness and, despite the continuous development, the sector shouldn’t stop seeking for new solutions in order to encourage the improvement in the companies”, says Maricato. For this reason, the president of Abrasel-SP sees ANUFOOD in Brazil as a great opportunity for the sector. “The fair brings the expertise from the largest food and beverage event in the world (referring to Anuga) and any entity representing the bars and restaurants segment shouldn’t be out,” he said.
